A plumbline is a string with an object attached, used for finding the depth of water or determining the vertical on an upright surface. Everyone at Citikidz is on the leadership team. However, there are a few distinct team members with added responsibilities regarding staff, athletics, programs, safety, etc. We call them Plumbline, and they are responsible for coaching, challenging, training, and impacting staff with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through using their gifts, encouraging staff in theirs, serving without complaint, and having fun the entire time. Summer’s Best Two Weeks Citikidz is a Christian sports camp dedicated to building Christian character through competitive athletics for students ages 8-18. We carefully select and recruit staff from a pool of applicants at colleges and universities. At least two trained collegiate or post-grad aged staff will live with approximately 10 campers in a cabin. We have several positions that we hope peak your interest.

The Summer Staff Directors oversee the scheduling and operations of the Plumbline staff of SB2W Citikidz Camp so as to carry out the mission, vision, purpose, philosophy, strategy and core values of Citikidz. In essence this means that the Staff Directors must assure that SB2W Citikidz develops the finest possible experience for all staff, campers, and kaleos to produce a sports camping platform for the presentation of the Gospel within the approved capital and operating budgets. The Staff Directors will work with the staff in a way that best helps them serve and assist all who come as they seek to share the benefits of Christian sports camping with urban youth. Directors, in particular, nurture the spiritual formation and environment of C.R.E.W. members that diligently shape their work ethic as they serve kaleos, counselors, campers, guest, and visitors. The Safety Directors, in particular, oversee the safety and well-being of all campers, kaleos, and staff at SB2W Citikidz Camp by upholding and enforcing the set standards that help prevent unwanted/unnecessary crises, as well as encouraging the staff by protecting everyone from that which causes serious injury. The Safety Director must assure that all staff know, uphold, maintain, and enforce the Citikidz standards in three key areas: camper safety, camp stewardship, and conduct of staff.

We have a team that cares for campers in cabins, coaches the Roman and Galatian teams, encourages positive influences, empowers courageous leadership, and equips next generation leaders for service in God’s kingdom. Counselors build relationships with campers through a variety of shared experiences, including high adventure initiatives, one-on-one time, mealtimes, Bible study, and cabin devotionals following evening programs.
